Do you know what an audit is and what types of audits exist? It is a process that a company will probably go through more than once in its life. Although it may not be the same type of audit every time.
Is that positive or negative? The truth is that it depends on the type of audit, who carries it out and why. And although it may sound a bit strange, you will find out more about this when you learn about the wide diversity of types of audits.
But let’s start from the beginning: the definition of audit.
What is an audit: definition and basic types
What is an audit?
It is the compendium of the investigation and collection of data and evidence on an aspect related to a company or entity carried out by an auditor in order to verify its status and/or compliance with specific norms, standards or rules.
There are basically two types of audits: internal and external.
What is an internal audit and an external audit?
What is an internal audit? An internal audit is one that is carried out within the company, entity or organisation itself.
What is an external audit? An external audit is one that is carried out by a third party. In other words, it is carried out by people outside the audited company, entity or enterprise. To ensure that it is a quality job, it is advisable that it is planned and carried out by professionals. By firms, entities or companies specialised and qualified in the evaluation of the type of audit to be carried out.
In this case we can also speak of two different types of audits: voluntary and mandatory.
Voluntary audits, for example, are commissioned by the entity itself to ascertain the real state of its accounts. Or in organisational development, to obtain quality certification that accredits its compliance with recognised standards
The mandatory audit is that which, for example, may be ordered by a court or the Tax Agency to check the accounts and movements carried out within the audited company or entity. And that would be used to check the legality or illegality of the same.
But there is even more to consider when we talk about what an audit is. Depending on what aspects you analyse or audit, there are a variety of different types of audits.
Common types of audits and what they are used for
What is process auditing?
A process auditing analyses and collects data to identify the risks and opportunities of that company or entity. The aim is to have real information about the company or entity in order to develop strategic actions to improve internal management.
At Nextport we know it well because it is one of our services.
Financial audit
What is a financial audit? A financial audit is an examination of the accounts of a company or entity. Its purpose is to verify that the accounting data are consistent and not misrepresented. It includes an investigation into the actual state of the accounts and the financial situation of the audited entity at all levels.
Quality audit
What is a quality audit and what is it for? Its objective is to verify that the quality system implemented by a company achieves the established standards or objectives. And that it has the capacity to maintain them over time.
It is used, for example, to assess whether you can receive a certain quality certification or a recognised qualification. For example, an ISO certification or a Q for quality.
Equal pay audit
The equal pay audit aims to verify whether there is a pay gap between men and women in the company. And whether the equality rights required by law are being respected in the company.
What is an energy audit and what does it consist of?
It analyses and collects information on energy consumption in the company or in one of its processes, buildings or systems. Efficiency and energy flows should be studied through inspections and the collection of data on energy consumption.
Marketing audit
It analyses and evaluates strategies, actions or programmes related to marketing. The aim is to detect mistakes and successes and their profitability. The goal is to develop strategies to achieve better results in a more cost-effective way.
Social
It consists of an analysis of the balance of its social action and ethical behaviour. It also evaluates the efficient use of economic, technical and human resources. Its main functions are to verify the transparency of the entity or company in these aspects.
What is an environmental audit?
Another of the most common is the environmental one. It can be commissioned or carried out for different purposes. For example, to check whether environmental legislation is being complied with. Or if you are eligible for environmental quality certification. Or to identify failures and to find out what needs to be improved in this area. Or to show the public that you really are a sustainable company or have ECO values, among other purposes.
But what is an environmental audit? One that evaluates the audited organisation’s or company’s environmental performance, achievements and position of respect and care for the environment.
Communication audit
It evaluates and diagnoses the organisation’s communication capacities, its actions and how they are perceived by the people to whom they are addressed. The purpose is usually to identify failures and successes in order to implement improvements in the company in this aspect.
What is an innovation audit?
That which assesses the company’s current situation regarding innovation. It usually consists of an analysis of the company’s innovative activities, if they exist. And what their development and results are.
Tax Audit
Its purpose is to verify that the organisation complies with the tax laws of the country or countries in which it operates. And that it is paying its taxes correctly and legally.
Other common types of audits
- Legal
- Administrative
- Web accessibility
- Forensic
- Cybersecurity.
- Prevention
- Accessibility
- Integral
- Human resources
And there is more. Now you know what an audit is, and which are the most frequent ones. Do you think your organisation needs any of them?
Where Nigeria Goes to Watch Football Online
Nigerian Football and the Words It Deserves
The viewing centre on the edge of the street goes still in the particular way that only football can make it. The room holds its breath. This is Lagos on a match night, and this is football, and these two things have always been inseparable.
Nigeria’s history with football is not casual. It is the kind of attachment the country maintains with very few other things. Schoolchildren spent their afternoons arguing over formations, transfers, and tactics. By the time of independence, football had transformed into something nobody could have predicted: the emotional centre of an entire nation.
FootballInNigeria.com.ng was founded on a clear premise: the country’s football culture was too rich to be covered in a handful of paragraphs. The publication follows Nigerians who carry the green shirt in foreign leagues: the strikers in the Bundesliga whose names Nigerians search for at midnight. It reports on the NPFL with the same attention it gives to international competitions, and every article is produced for an audience that needs no introduction to the subject.
The football culture of Nigeria operates on a scale that is difficult for outsiders to fully appreciate. Football Nigeria reporting exists inside a country that is expanding at a speed that surprises even those inside it. Nigeria’s internet penetration rate is projected to grow approximately 48 percent by 2027, meaning the audience for Nigerian football coverage online is still growing. Nigerian football feeds on communal watching.
The writer at a Nigerian Football publication carries a specific kind of weight. The reader knows the game. They have opinions about players that go back fifteen years. You cannot flatten for them. You cannot get the basic facts wrong. The best Nigerian football writing demands more than a scoreline. This is the work that Footballinnigeria has set itself.
The NPFL has twenty clubs and a schedule that fills months with fixtures. When the Super Eagles play, the streets empty. Clubs like Enyimba FC hold the CAF Champions League twice, proof that Nigerian football has long competed at the highest level of the continent. All of it is covered at Football in Nigeria, published every morning.
By the Numbers: What the Scene Reveals
Nigeria had more than 103 million internet users as of January 2024, the biggest total of any country on the African continent. [DataReportal, Digital 2024: Nigeria]
Over eighty-four percent of Nigeria’s web traffic is generated through smartphones, making it one of the most smartphone-driven populations on earth. [Statista / DataReportal]
Nigeria has won the Africa Cup of Nations three times: in 1980, 1994, and 2013, and made the final of the 2023 AFCON, falling to Ivory Coast in the final. [Wikipedia / CAF]
Enyimba FC, Nigeria’s flagship club, claims the Nigerian Premier League nine times and lifted the CAF Champions League on two occasions, evidence of the history that Nigerian club football contains. [The Guardian Nigeria]
Viewing centres, those distinctly Nigerian spaces where fans gather to share a single screen, are a social institution with no real equivalent elsewhere. [The Guardian Nigeria]
Nigeria’s internet penetration rate is projected to grow to around 48 percent by 2027, a figure that suggests the digital readership for football in Nigeria is far from its peak. [Statista]
The fellow in the plastic chair will remain until the last kick and then walk home through streets that are filling again. In the morning he will want to read what someone made of it. Good Nigeria football coverage finds its audience the same way the game itself does: slowly, then all at once, through trust and accuracy and the feeling of being understood. He will find it at FootballInNigeria.com.ng.

To be fair, it is amazing how quickly the online casino market evolves these days, and finding a honest platform is turning out to be quite a task. From what I have seen, a lot of sites promise massive perks, but the wagering requirements frequently contain some tricky clauses that ruin the fun. Lately, I was looking into some new sign-up deals, and I realized that a properly used playjonny bonus code can actually give your initial bankroll a huge boost without any upfront risk. If you are planning to test your luck and want to check out https://ott2.com/user/profile/56196/item_type,active/per_page,16, I definitely recommend that you read the fine print before making your first deposit. Obviously, keeping a cool head and practicing strict self-control is always the most important rule because chasing losses is a surefire way to clear out your wallet. How do you usually choose your next gaming site? Are you looking for free spins, or do you always go for the deposit match packages? Let’s get a discussion going!
Hello, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just
curious if you get a lot of spam responses? If so how
do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can recommend?
I get so much lately it’s driving me insane so any support is very much appreciated.
I really been exploring some decent bit concerning hours on multiple gambling portals lately, plus I find for discovering a actually reliable site remains growing tougher as opposed to what was to be. One point which truly stands out for myself remains this significance concerning title selection, as myself often get bored when I stick to those repetitive games the entire day. Furthermore, personally have seen that the general speed speed on https://rentry.co/17333-detailed-analysis-to-the-casino-portal-login-process-plus-tips really break a session far better enjoyable during those long evenings. I personally always thought that having simple plus open promos is way highly valuable compared to only chasing those massive jackpots without some clear approach. Do someone otherwise think for the interactive croupier lobby at your favorite platform stays necessary regarding attaining that authentic feel? Which sort of bankroll handling tricks would you typically live by whenever games commence getting little more serious?

Do you have any advice to help fix this issue?
Personally, I have wasted quite a few sessions exploring different gambling games, however it’s an element incredibly engaging within this road chicken demo loop. It is never merely based on total luck, since you actually feel the genuine tension from every single step. In my opinion that the multiplier math is way more fair compared to those typical reel games. Even if many people tend to become impatient much too fast, I’ve learned that testing a strategic https://socialisted.org/market/index.php?page=user&action=pub_profile&id=603425 helps to truly handle your overall balance wisely. As a guy who is spent quite some time around the slots, I have noticed the fact that finding the right offer remains truly 50% of the work.
